How to make delicious German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

1/2 cup boiling water

1 bar cooking chocolate

2 cups of sugar

1 cup of butter (soft)

4 egg yolks

1 teaspoon

2 1/2 cups of cake flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup buttermild

4 egg whites

-(Coconut-Pecan Frosting)-

1 cup sugar, 1 cup evaporated milk, 1/2 cup butter, 3 egg yolks, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut, 1 cup chopped pecans

-Directions-

Preheat oven 350; grease 2 square 8x8x2 in pans or 3 round layer pans 8 in. Pour boiling water on chocolate in small bowl and stir until chocolate is melted then cool.

Mix sugar and butter in a large mixer bowl until light, and fluffy. Then beat in egg yolks 1 at a time, once complete beat in chocolate and vanilla on low speed. Mix in flower, baking soda and salt alternately with the butter milk; beat after each addition until the batter is again smooth. Fold in egg whites, and divide batter evenly among the pans.

Place the cake(s) in the oven; bake until wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean, bake for about 40 min. Fill layers and frost top of the cake with Coconut-Pecan Frosting.

-Coconut-Pecan Frosting Directions (you may want to double this recipe)-

Mix sugar, milk, margarine, egg yolks, and vanilla in a 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thick, which takes 12-15 minutes. Stir in coconut and pecans. Beat until frosting is of spreading consistency.

I recommend organizing all the ingredients for both before beginning to make the cake, so you do not waste ingredients. I also recommend doubling the Frosting recipe, because if not, it is awfully thin.

Step Three:

Open Ventrilo -> right click anywhere inside the channel display box (white area) -> View -> record/playback

On the Record/Playback tab click open -> select desired file

Step Four:

Insert male to male cable into your sound out and sound in; mic to speakers

Step Five:

Click on (open) audacity and click record -> click play on ventrilo -> click stop on audacity when it is done playing -> Edit as you wish -> file -> export as mp3 -> save where you desire
