Building a Website (what they don’t tell you)

I read probably twenty to twenty-five articles on how to construct website, some more in depth, others more of a how-to-guide. None of them really prepared me properly in my opinion. The first version of lettergram.org managed to have anywhere from 500 to 2,000 visitors a day, depending on what day of the week and the amount I personally went out and advertised. Of course at the time Lettergram.org only managed maybe, ten how-to-guides and comparison posts. All ten combined gave me roughly 85% of my visitors.
Now however, I have none of that, and my website having been down 8 months I receive about 20 visits a day and I went out and deleted all the links I could find to old posts that were lost when my site was down. Some may ask why I went out spending time in order to do that, well to be honest it had to do with integrity, I did not want complaints or people looking down upon my website because of some old post. Instead I went out deleted all my links that I could find (several hundred) in the hopes that I could start fresh. Well, obviously with the fact solidified in my mind that no one will read this post, I go on wondering. What to do with this hunk of space I rented on the internet.
One option is to begin to repost often on things I find interested (as I had previous), as well as how to articles. Slow and steady I shall post places in my spare time in hopes of regaining a foot hold on the mass of the internet.
Or the second option, maintain this with some how-to-guides for friends, maybe some interesting stuff, but make a larger setting on my new website lettergram.net, it’s basically a website with guides on physics, much like patrickJMT on youtube. I simply make downloadable guides and youtube videos on physics. I have been doing it, but breaking into that market is making me want to commit suicide. Every day I awaken to school, work, then in my spare time I am trying to make some friendly, easy to understand guide, yeah right! I have maybe 6 up there, 30 pages of material, 4 videos, but receiving 4 hits a day and i’m too tired by the end of it to advertise.
PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE ME FROM OBLIVION!
